Step One: Everyone Starts with the Short Film

Includes 8 hours of wedding day coverage, a 60-second trailer, and a 3-5 minute highlight film. At Nova Weddings, we focus on more than just documenting the day. We connect with our couples ahead of time to understand your love story, passions, and special moments. This means we may schedule a pre-wedding meeting or a casual chat to dive deeper into what makes your relationship unique.
Pre-Wedding Story | Included in Short Film
Now included in our base Short Film package, the Pre-Wedding Story is a personal film that centers around your love story. This film gives your friends and family a deeper look into how you met, your shared passions, and the moments that brought you together. We’ll interview each of you separately, ensuring the answers remain a surprise until the finished film. Don’t worry if you’re not comfortable on camera—we’ll guide you through the process with as many takes as you need to feel relaxed and confident. This personal touch adds more meaning to your wedding video, and it’s a great keepsake to revisit on anniversaries.

Ceremony Edit | $199
The Ceremony Edit captures your full ceremony, start to finish, with two camera angles and professional audio. It’s the documentary-style film of the moment you’ve been waiting for—your vows, your first kiss, and all the meaningful glances in between.
Reception Toasts Edit | $199
The Reception Toast Edit focuses on the heartfelt speeches and toasts, captured with two cameras and professional audio. We highlight key reactions and emotional moments to make this part of your day unforgettable.
Rehearsal Dinner Coverage | $199
The Rehearsal Dinner Coverage captures the intimate moments and toasts from this special night. It’s a great way to document warm congratulations and personal speeches shared by those closest to you.
Social Minis | $299
Want to share more than just your highlight video? The Social Minis package includes 3-6 short films (45-60 seconds each), edited vertically for easy sharing on social media platforms. These mini-videos focus on different moments from your day, such as the Ceremony, Reception, Getting Ready for the Bride and Groom, and a detailed highlight featuring things like invitations, rings, shoes, and more.
Raw Footage | $199
Receive all of the raw footage from your wedding day, including pre-wedding sessions. These clips are unedited, meaning they will not be color-graded or cleaned up, and there may be parts at the beginning and end of clips that aren’t relevant. However, this footage serves as a special keepsake and can be useful for creating anniversary videos or reliving the day in its entirety.
Drone Footage | $299
Drone footage adds a cinematic touch that elevates your wedding video. Imagine stunning aerial views of your ceremony venue or beautiful shots of the bride and groom walking together in an open field, captured from above. These unique perspectives bring an extra layer of production value, making your wedding film feel truly unforgettable.
Note: Drone footage is subject to weather conditions and location restrictions. If we are unable to provide drone footage due to these factors, the cost will be refunded or deducted from the final balance.

Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we do! We understand that weddings are a significant investment, and not everyone can pay in full upfront. We offer a flexible 4-installment payment plan. The first payment is the standard 50% deposit, and the remaining three payments will be evenly divided over the time leading up to the wedding. The final payment is due on your wedding day. A detailed breakdown of payment amounts and due dates will be provided in your contract.
What equipment do you use?
We use a range of high-end Sony cameras, lenses, and lavalier microphones, chosen specifically for each wedding and location to ensure top-quality video and audio.
How long will the film be?
We are short-form filmmakers, focused on telling your unique story. Our films typically range from 3-5 minutes, with a 60-second teaser delivered within 7 days. Great speeches and meaningful moments may extend the length, but we always aim to create a film that is both impactful and concise.
How many camera operators do I need?
One videographer is usually sufficient to cover a wedding day. However, we can accommodate multiple angles with up to two videographers if needed for a more expansive shoot.
Who will be shooting and editing our film?
Jose leads all shoots and edits. From filming to editing, you’ll work directly with Jose to ensure a personalized and consistent experience.
What do you wear?
We dress discreetly to blend in with your guests. Our goal is to be unobtrusive and respect any dress codes or color schemes your guests are following.
Do you require a meal?
Yes, we request a hot meal to be provided when meals are served during the Reception. This allows us to stay focused and organized for key moments, such as speeches and toasts, without the need to leave the venue for a meal.
How do we receive the finished work?
Your finished films will be delivered on a flash drive and virtually via WeTransfer.com for easy access.
When will we receive the finished work?
You will receive your teaser trailer within 7 days, and your full highlight film within 60 days. Every edit is handled in-house by the videographer who shot your wedding, ensuring a personal and consistent touch.
How do we go about booking you?
A booking is confirmed with a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance is due on your wedding day. Please note, we cannot hold dates without a deposit and signed contract.
Does Nova Weddings travel to capture weddings?
Absolutely! We love to travel and are happy to capture weddings near and far.
How do we pay?
We accept payment through PayPal (note: bank/service charges may apply), Square Cash, Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle, check, or good old-fashioned cash.
